দেশের অন্যতম ঐতিহ্যবাহী ক্রীড়া সংগঠন মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাবের আসন্ন নির্বাচন-২০২৬ উপলক্ষে পূর্ণাঙ্গ তফসিল ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। ক্লাব কর্তৃপক্ষের পক্ষ থেকে প্রকাশিত সর্বশেষ সূচি অনুযায়ী, আগামী ৯ মার্চ এই নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

ঘোষিত তফসিল অনুসারে, আগামী ২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি সকাল ১০টায় ভোটার তালিকা খসড়া আকারে প্রকাশ করা হবে। একই দিনে দুপুর ১২টা থেকে খসড়া তালিকা নিয়ে যেকোনো আপত্তি গ্রহণ, শুনানি এবং নিষ্পত্তির প্রক্রিয়া সম্পন্ন করা হবে। সবশেষে, বিকাল ৪টায় চূড়ান্ত ভোটার তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হবে।

মনোনয়নপত্র বিক্রি শুরু হবে ২৪ ও ২৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি, যা দুপুর ১২টা থেকে বিকাল ৪টা পর্যন্ত চলবে। নির্বাচন বিধিমালা অনুযায়ী, পরিচালক পদের জন্য ১০,০০০ টাকা এবং সভাপতি পদের জন্য ৫০,০০০ টাকা নগদ জমা দিয়ে মনোনয়নপত্র সংগ্রহ করতে হবে। ক্লাবের আর্টিকেল অব অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অনুসারে, শুধুমাত্র দাতা ও স্থায়ী সদস্যরা (মৃত সদস্য ব্যতীত) এই নির্বাচনে অংশগ্রহণের জন্য মনোনয়নপত্র কিনতে পারবেন।

প্রার্থিতাThe application deadline is March 1st, from 1 PM to 4 PM. Candidates can submit their nominations either in person or through an authorized representative. The nomination forms must be duly signed by the candidate, proposer, and seconder in the designated fields. By 6 PM on the same day, a preliminary list of candidates will be published.

The following day, from 11 AM to 1 PM, will be dedicated to the scrutiny of nominations and hearing of objections, after which the list of valid candidates will be released. Candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their nominations until 5 PM on March 3rd. Subsequently, by 3 PM on March 4th, the final list of valid candidates will be announced.

The voting process is scheduled for March 9th, from 2 PM to 5 PM. The venue for the election has been set at the Samson H. Chowdhury Centre (2nd Floor) of Dhaka Club. The voting will be conducted through secret ballots without any breaks. Following the completion of the vote count, the results will be declared.
