Washington may be nearing the end of its conflict with Iran, according to US Secretary of State Mark Rubio. The war, now in its fifth week, could be approaching a resolution, Rubio stated on Fox News. He expressed optimism, suggesting that a diplomatic solution could be within reach, though he cautioned against using negotiations as a delay tactic.

Rubio acknowledged Iran’s history of evading diplomatic efforts over the past 47 years but emphasized that the US would not cease its attempts at dialogue. He also indicated that the US would need to reassess its relationship with NATO following the conclusion of the Iran conflict. The Secretary refuted claims of a lack of clear strategy regarding Iran, asserting that specific objectives are being pursued, including the destruction of Iran’s air force and naval capabilities, as well as its missile and drone production facilities, and the neutralization of its missile launchers.
