The government has finalized the appointments of Abedur Rahman Sikder, currently the Deputy Managing Director of Dutch-Bangla Bank, as the new Managing Director. Kazi Shairul Hasan has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. These decisions were officially announced on Monday through separate circulars issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the circulars, both Abedur Rahman Sikder and Kazi Shairul Hasan have been appointed for a term of three years, effective from their joining date. The Bank Company Act of 1991 allows for such appointments. The circular also requests the Chairman of the bank’s board to take necessary actions regarding the appointment of Abedur Rahman Sikder.
